GyroSidecar Privacy Policy

GyroSidecar collects no data. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs, and no network access of any kind.

What the app records, and where it stays

GyroSidecar records your iPhone's gyroscope and accelerometer samples and, only if you enable it, a low-quality reference audio track from the microphone. These recordings are stored solely on your iPhone. The app contains no networking code, so nothing is ever transmitted to the developer or anyone else.

Sharing is always yours

Recordings leave your device only when you explicitly export them with the iOS share sheet. Whatever you share goes to the destination you choose (for example AirDrop or Files) — never to the developer.

Permissions

Motion & Fitness — required; recording motion data is the app's entire purpose.
Microphone — optional; used only for the reference audio track and can be left disabled. The app is fully functional without it.

Deleting your data

Delete individual recordings in the app's Sessions tab, or delete the app to remove everything it ever stored.

Tracking

GyroSidecar does not track you and declares no tracking in its Apple privacy manifest. Its App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected.”

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted at this address with an updated effective date.
